Vaccines For Dogs :
* Dappv vaccine - This vaccine is done annually after a dog has had a series of injections as a young puppy, to prevent a multi-systemic viral disease in dogs. This disease is highly contagious and is fatal in half of all cases. Canine distemper is usually transmitted through contact with respiratory secretions. But contact with fecal material and urine of infected dogs or things they have contaminated can also cause infection.
* Rabies vaccine -This vaccine is given as early as 4 months of age and again at 18 months of age with boosters every 3 years. This vaccine is used to prevent rabies being transmitted to your pet through the bite of an infected animal. Common animals to carry this disease include; skunks, raccoons, foxes, coyotes and bats.
* Bordetella vaccine - This vaccine is given as early as 8-10 weeks with a booster every 6 months, this reduces your pets chance of developing an upper respiratory infection commonly known as "Kennel Cough". This vaccine is highly recommended for dogs who are exposed or will be exposed to dog parks, training classes, groomers, doggie day care, boarding kennels or dog shows.
